At The Vocal Company, LOUD! isn’t about volume or decibels (though our awesome does go to eleven). It’s taking your group’s personality, that crazy, touching, ridonkulous thing that’s unique no matter what song you’re doing, and getting it out there for the world to hear. Here at The Vocal Company, we draw out that quality in your group, develop it through a combination of vocal coaching and technical wizardry, and help you make aural history (that’s an aca-pun, folks).
As you may have noticed, we like to keep things fun (OK, sometimes downright absurd). It is fun, because we’re doing what we love – taking talented, dedicated a cappella groups and giving them the kind of sound that wins awards, sells out performances, and generates international recognition. And let’s face it: a bit of silliness keeps everyone loose, and that helps us all do our best.
Make no mistake – silly doesn’t mean effortless, and fun doesn’t mean “anyone can do this.” In addition to our own a cappella singing careers, we’ve spent years perfecting the vocal direction, artistry and technical expertise that goes into a cappella production. Our founders Mark Hines and Nick Lyons have learned from industry giants, and we’ve all made ourselves absolute masters of the technology.
This is what winners do. Real winners, not just the kind who jump on Twitter and tell you they’re #winning. It means 100% effort – on our part and on yours. It takes discipline. And yes, it requires an investment. If it didn’t, The Vocal Company wouldn’t have achieved the results we’ve achieved, both for ourselves and for the many groups we’ve worked with over the years. You know it as well as we do: there are no shortcuts to excellence (although the ctrl-alt-something that turns your screen upside down is pretty damn funny). But the results speak for themselves, and the rewards are well worth it.

Though proud of each of his many accomplishments, fifteen-year aca-veteran Nick Lyons is a little bit on the humble side.
