Just like websites are tested in a bunch of browsers, tablets, phones, and virtually every other screen-based operating system you can imagine, a cappella mastering is the final part of the process that makes sure your album sounds as good in your ’96 Chevy Cavalier as it does on your iPod.
The Vocal Company is proud to partner with a master mastering engineer: Dave Sperandio of Diovoce. Dave (or “Dio,” which, loosely translated, means “Dio” in a couple of pacific island languages) is one of the master-greats, a man-on-the-mountain phenom at this stuff who’s been around since the days when a cappella existed because no one had invented instruments yet. Plus, to produce top-notch a cappella, even the experts can benefit from the fresh perspective of another set of masterful ears.
We’re going to stop saying “master” now. It’s making us giggle. Look, folks, we don’t guarantee mature behavior here at The Vocal Company. Who wants THAT?
